Thursday night Car Robots update

We've been doing a bit of jumping back and forth cleaning up the dialogue over the past week. Here's a small sample of episode 32 and the work that's gone into it. We hope everyone is looking forward to this release soon! 

Car Robots Update: Quality Control / Notes

Over the next several week(s), our Quality Control team will be looking over the episodes to make sure they're ready for release. It's amazing how you can watch an episode over a dozen times and still find small grammatical errors or translations that need to be tweaked.

For the final release, we'll be including a translator's notes highlighting cultural and historical explanations behind scenes and dialogue within the series. We highly recommend everyone take a look at this document after watching each episode to get a better understanding of the show.

Transformers: Car Robots - Principle subtitling is now complete

Great news for everyone out there. Transformers Car Robots is nearing completion. All of the principle subtitling has been completed and now all we need to do is verify the remaining translations with our native speakers and transfer the SRT files to Aegisub and clean everything up. This very exciting for our team as this feels like a long time coming. Stay tuned for more updates!

Transformers: Car Robots Complete Series is nearing completion

After many years of work, Transformers Car Robots is nearing completion. We don't have an ETA on a release date but it should be within the next few months -  at least if all goes well. We thank our fans out there for their understanding in waiting so long for this series to be done. It's been quite a journey with a lot of work involved by friends and family.

Car Robot Project is still alive

It's been a long time (way too long actually) since we posted about Transformers Car Robot. The project is still active and we're about 1/2 way done translating the series. All the timing is complete and it's just a case of getting the script together. As for a release date? It'll be out when it's done :) We'll be releasing it all in one shot as there's any factors involved and sometimes there's a need to go back and change something from before.

We promise this release will be worth the wait :)

Late morning update!

Just a quick update for everyone. We're making some good progress here so far. Most of the minor dialogue bits have been taken care of and we're still working through the major stuff. As always, personal life commitments get in the way. But what can you do right?

Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc Part 2

Long time no talk everyone! Well it's been quite a number of years since we've done any projects. This was mostly due to lack of time and every day life getting in the way. However, we're back (even if it's only brief) to announce we're working on Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc Part 2. So far, the timing is done (which is easy) and we're about 1/2 way through translating (which is the hard part!). Just to give you an idea; for about 3 mins of run-time translating, it takes about a 60 to 90 mins. If you look at one of the images that I've posted, my wife basically writes down what is said on screen. From there we translate the kanji and try to piece together the sentences.

As simple as it sounds, it isn't. I can truly appreciate Rika Takahashi's hard work that went into translating the TV series of Rurouni Kenshin. I can't even imagine the headaches that she went through painstakingly finding the adequate translations for expressions and words that are next near to impossible to translate. Anyway, hopefully we'll have something for you guys soon!

Car Robots Vol 2 Update

We hope everyone has had a really great holiday so far. We've been able to take some time out to catch up on subtitling Car Robots Vol 2. We're about 1/2 done doing episode 6. So hopefully we'll have something out soon (time and events willing!)

Well it's been a while since we had any updates. We have to appoligize for taking so long with Car Robots vol 2. We have started on it, but given the lack of time in recent days, it's hard to say when it will be completed. I'd love to say we have lots of people with us who can translated, but the truth is it's just 2 of us here now. One translator and one subber. We appreciate the support that everyone has given us since day one and we hope to complete Car Robots sometime in the next year(s).

Story:
It's the dawn of the new millenium and Earth is being attacked by

Finally after such a long delay due to many unforseen events we managed to dish out
Volume 3. Now before everyone flips out and says where's vol 2? All we have to say is
that is coming soon. Our translator is slow... yes... sorry... but when you're busy
with your other job... what can we say? Anyway just wanted to shout out to
Kakashi Sensei and his wonderful girlfriend for helping us get this translation done.

Car Robots Vol 3 Complete!

Finally after so long, DVD vol 3 has been completed. The subs are off to our proofreader to get finalized and then we'll have a release very shortly. Special thanks to everyone on the project who's help us getting this release out.

Car Robots Vol 3 progress

Hi everyone,

Well we've completed Episodes 9 & 10 and we're about 1/2 way through 11 now. Thought we'd like to give everyone and update that there will be a release sooner or later. We're still waiting on our translator for Car Robots DVD 2 (yeah we know, she's busy...) but we will release it at some point.

We're also looking for a proof reader to check over our grammar. If you'd like to help. Drop us a line.

Reposting of SF2: Movie

Hey everyone,

Due to overwelming requests... SF2:MOVIE is being reposted in alt.binaries.dvd.anime.repost.

This version has some of the subtitles a little more tweaked than the last one. Everything else though is the same.

Please also remember to support the new retail version being done by Manga video which will be released this summer! This version will include both the original Japanese and also English dub tracks. Hopefully their sub track will as detailed as our fansub has.

Anyway back to work on Car Robots Vol 3... :)

Okay, I bet you're wondering just what the heck is going on right? Well here's the scoup, I had 2 different translators working on the next 2 Car Robots dvd's and one managed to finish before the other LOL! Rest assured, both with be released, and hopefully in the proper order. In any case, hang tight because we should have some kind of release in the next month for everyone to enjoy!
